JakartaBicara, Klaten – Gubernur Jateng Ganjar Pranowo siap mendukung upaya petani di Kabupaten Klaten membudidayakan padi organik dengan bibit jenis Srinuk. Apalagi Pemkab Klaten telah berhasil mendapatkan Hak Atas Kekayaan Intelektual ats varietas tersebut.
Varietas ini merupakan hasil rekayasa genetik benih padi rojolele hasil kerjasama antara Badan Tenaga Nuklir Nasional (Batan) dengan Pemkab Klaten. Ganjar yang sedang kunjungan kerja di Klaten menyempatkan untuk menengok salah satu lahan yang ditanami padi Srinuk tersebut.
“Ini yang dulu saya ngeyel sama bapak, kita bisa bikin padi organik pak dan alhamdulillah ini sudah kita buktikan,” kata Suradi, warga di Kecamatan Manisrenggo, Klaten kepada Ganjar, Senin (23/5).
Ganjar mendengar itu langsung mengacungkan jempol pada Suradi. Ganjar langsung menawarkan bantuan untuk mendukung upaya pemuliaan varietas padi organik tersebut.
“Butuhe opo, nek traktor ya ngko tak kei. Ini bagus. Akhir Juli panen nanti kita cek lagi,” ucap Ganjar.
Gubernur Ganjar Pranowo mengapresiasi upaya para perani di Kabupaten Klaten yang melakukan gerakan padi atau pertanian organik. Ganjar juga mangapresiasi Pemkab Klaten yang berhasil mengurus HAKI dari varietas Srinuk ini.
Ganjar optimis, upaya serupa bisa didorong untuk varietas tanaman selain padi. Terutama dengan bantuan dari Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional. Beberapa contoh tanaman, kata Ganjar, juga telah dikirimkannya ke sana.
“Tanamannya tidak hanya padi tapi mungkin bisa kedelai yang mungkin masih kurang, optimalisasi dari lahan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas,” ujarnya.
Padi Srinuk di Kecamatan Manisrenggo rencananya akan panen pada Bulan Juli mendatang. Ganjar akan mengecek dan turut mengevaluasi hasil panennya.
“Sehingga teman-teman yang menyelenggarakan riset akan bisa support soal ini. Ini persiapan sekaligus menunjukkan kesiapan kita ketika nanti politik pangan dunia mengalami turbulensi. Dunia sudah mengalami itu maka kita musti siap-siap,” tandasnya.
Sebagai informasi, Pusat Perlindungan Varietas Tanaman dan Perizinan Pertanian (PPVTPT) Kementerian Pertanian Republik Indonesia memutuskan varietas padi Rojolele Srinuk yang merupakan varietas hibrida dari padi khas Klaten, diterima hak PVT-nya. Keputusan tersebut diambil dalam sidang komisi hak Pelindungan Varietas Tanaman (PVT) atas padi Rojolele varietas Srinuk, Kamis (24/2/2022).
