Jakarta Bicara, Ketapang – Dalam upaya mendukung pencegahan penyebaran penyakit mulut dan kuku ( PMK ) khususnya di wilayah Kecamatan Tumbang Titi Kabupaten Ketapang, Jajaran Polsek Tumbang Titi Polres Ketapang Polda Kalbar terus melakukan pemantauan dan pendampingan tim vaksinasi terhadap sejumlah pemilik hewan ternak sapi di Desa Sengkaharak Kecamatan Tumbang Titi Kabupaten Ketapang, pada Kamis 30 Juni 2022 sekira Pukul 08.00 wib.
Kapolres Ketapang AKBP Yani Permana, S.I.K., M.H., melalui Kapolsek Tumbang Titi IPTU Sri Marjana., menerangkan, pemantauan dan pendampingan vaksinasi ternak sapi yang dilakukan jajarannya melalui anggota Bhabinkamtibmas adalah langkah yang dilakukan Polsek Tumbang Titi dalam mendukung Pemerintah untuk melakukan pencegahan penyebaran penyakit PMK.
” Apalagi saat ini sudah mendekati Idul Adha, sehingga pengawasan dan pendampingan vaksin ternak ini sangat perlu supaya mampu menekan penyebaran wabah PMK khususnya di wilayah Kecamatan Tumbang Titi, ” ujar Sri Marjana, Kamis (30/6/2022).
Dikatakan Sri Marjana, Pemerintah daerah Ketapang melalui Dinas Peternakan telah menyiapkan tim vaksinasi hewan ternak yang disebar ke seluruh kecamatan yang menjadi sentra peternakan sapi dan kambing, salah satunya di wilayah Kecamatan Tumbang Titi dimana hal ini guna menekan penyebaran virus PMK pada ternak sapi, kerbau dan kambing.
Kegiatan vaksinasi ini dilakukan secara bertahap terhadap ternak yang sehat di wilayah yang tidak pernah terkena wabah PMK. Sedangkan untuk ternak yang terkena PMK langsung dilakukan pengobatan. ” Ternak sakit dilakukan pengobatan, dan ternak yang sehat hanya diberikan vaksin, ” katanya.
Berdasarkan data dari Bhabinkamtibmas Polsek Tumbang Titi Bripka Junaidi, jumlah ternak sapi di Desa Sengkarahan Kecamatan Tumbang Titi yang mendapatkan vaksinasi PMK sebanyak 33 ekor sapi, dan sampai saat ini belum di temukan sapi sakit yang mengarah ke PMK sehingga dapat di vaksin keseluruhan.
Turut dalam kegiatan vaksinasi tersebut petugas BPP Kecamatan Tumbang Titi, Petugas Dokter hewan dari Distanakbun Kabupaten Ketapang, Bhabinkamtibmas Polsek Tumbang Titi Bripka Junaidi serta perangkat Desa Sengkarahan.
