Kegiatan ini merupakan vaksinasi tahapan pertama yang dilakukan oleh Disbunnak dimana sebanyak 17 sapi dilakukan pemberian vaksin.
Disbunnak telah menargetkan 800 vaksin di mulai dari tanggal 27 – 30 Juni 2022, untuk sementara pada saat ini prioritas utamanya masih diperuntukkan untuk sapi kambing dan kerbau saja.
Dari 800 yang telah ditargetkan Disbunnak, saat ini realisasinya telah mencapai 60,25%, atau sebanyak 482 ternak yang telah di vaksin.
” Target kita 800 vaksin, namun saat ini baru 482 yang terealisasi, kita akan gencar dan diperkirakan akan selesai h-2 sebelum idul adha” ucap kepala Disbunnak Lambar Yudha Setiawan saat membuka kegiatan vaksinasi.
Untuk menekan wabah PMK ini Disbunnak juga telah membangun dua (2) Posko, dimana dalam satu poskonya akan ditempatkan satgas PMK dan tim Reaksi Cepat yang terdiri dari dokter dan petugas Disbunnak, pos tersebut berada di Kecamatan Sumber Jaya dan Kecamatan Sukau. hal itu bertujuan untuk memeriksa setiap ternak yang masuk ke dalam Lampung Barat.

Untuk syarat vaksin sendiri ternak harus memiliki tiga (indikator) yaitu sehat, tidak mengandung, dan ternak tersebut harus belum pernah terjangkit PMK.

Sekedar informasi, Di mana kasus aktif yang masih tersisa yakni sebanyak 174.277 ekor, dinyatakan sembuh 83.894 ekor, potong bersyarat 2.449 ekor dan dinyatakan mati 1.501 ekor. Total hewan yang sudah divaksin 8.447 ekor.
Dalam data itu dijelaskan Provinsi Jawa Timur menduduki peringkat pertama kasus tertinggi PMK dengan jumlah 100.492 kasus. Disusul Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB) 41.433 kasus dan Aceh 30.128 kasus.Sementara untuk hewan ternak yang paling banyak terkena penyakit yakni sapi, sebanyak 255.992 ekor, kerbau 4.114 ekor dan kambing 1.111 ekor.
